What is Involved?GreenServerFarmsSM takes a holistic approach to reducing power consumption WITHOUT reducing site performance. Individual components like virtual machines, more efficient power supplies and better cooling is just the start. By starting with the overall site design, we can include load-balancing strategies, automated shut-down of underutilized servers, more power-efficient storage approaches, etc. And by partnering with like-minded hardware vendors and colocation facilities, we can lay the groundwork for the right company to utilize.
How Can You Participate?If you have a web-based service or site, and need to launch, expand, move or other build-out, contact us. Depending on your application, there may be great opportunities for improvement. There will certainly be areas to pursue. You should be plan to engage in a partnership to find the right solution, as this approach and some of the technology is new.
